december? where did november go?
wow. i can’t believe we are about to enter the final month of the year. “what a YEAR this has been,” i think to myself, reflecting back on 2008.
one of the main things i’ve been reminiscing, is what it looks like to follow Jesus. i think back to the beginning of the year, it realize how it looks different for me now. i’ve grown and changed and been challenged. i’ve built community, made new beginnings and closed chapters in my life.
what about you?
for this months gathering, let’s get together and reflect about where we were a year ago and where we are today. i encourage you to journal, brainstorm, and ask God for guidance into our december dialogue. it is my hope for us to share, encourage and celebrate the Jesus who lives in our hearts as we share a brew in the dining car of life on a train ride into our heart of hearts. we will examine the joys, mysteries, frustrations, humility and love…of who Jesus is. let us not define Him, but allow His spirit to reveal who He says He is.
