ready for november?
wow. october came and is almost out the door. it’s really starting to feel like fall around here, too. yessss. time to make a giant pot of stew or chili, methinks!
so, the november gathering, as you can see, will be taking place, again, at the dog and duck pub. 17th and guadaulpe. i really hope you can make it. God continues to marinate this group for His enjoyment and delight.
recently, at church, we’ve been studying from genesis. my accountability partner and i are also reading a book together, that starts out in the garden. holy crap. this is some good, heavy stuff, my friends. i’ve spent many-a-evening reading and thinking about this.
here are a few thoughts and questions that have been rolling around in my head.
one. just as eve was decieved by a “beautiful creature”, what lies are you believing?
two. perhaps it didn’t seem dangerous, to eve, to listen to what the serpent had to say. are you considering the consequences of every decision you make?
three. the serpent attacked eve first. does this say something about women in general? was she the easier target? is this true of all women?
love them. hate them. i hope these make you think of your own questions, too. i can’t wait to hear what you have to say, at our november gathering.
